[The 2009 This Day in Women’s Aviation calendar] sure is packed with incredible info. It's so wonderful to see all the names of the pilots I know. Wally Funk was my flight instructor. I got to go up in Julie Clark's "yellow banana" while she did aerobatics. (Whewee, that was something.) And of course, our dear Bobbi was quite the pilot and instigator of all things aviation. :) And so many more!
- Nanette Malher, aviation historian, creator and maintainer of www.BobbiTrout.com
I look forward to receiving the calendar. [Ruth] Elder was a first cousin to my father, Thomas W. McClellan, born and raised in Montgomery, AL. I want to give this to my dad for Christmas and I know he'll love it. He's now 82. He once had Ms. Elder's helmet and donated it to a museum in Birmingham, AL.
